A Life Aligned.
We are the Swifts. We have been serving in diverse ministries for over 30 years, from church-planting in the Middle East & USA to training church leaders around the Mediterranean. By God’s grace we raised and homeschooled 5 children along the way. All of them are married & walking with Jesus. At the heart of it all has been a constant aligning and realigning of our hearts with the heart of God in his word. As we hold fast to God’s word he invites us to live an adventure of discovering how our stories fit into his big story. How does your story fit into God’s big story?
Missional Marriage & Family.
The Bible describes our marriages as covenantal relationships. Marriage resembles the special covenant relationship Jesus Christ has with his own bride, the church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We have witnessed how marriage is an intentional mission designed by God to be a living display of the gospel to our children, our churches, our communities, and our world. This simple truth transformed everything for our family. It can transform yours too!
Local & Global.
According to God’s word, the local church is God’s chosen instrument to advance His kingdom in the world (Ephesians 3:10; 4:11-16; Colossians 1:24-28). Christ is building his Church in the world through His Word by gathering and growing people by the grace of the gospel from every race & ethnicity. For this reason we are committed to serving people in local churches globally. We would love to meet your church!
Maritime Methods.
Thousands of Mediterranean ports in open and restricted access countries need the gospel, church planting, and support. In Greece alone there are over 220 inhabited islands needing churches committed to gospel proclamation. Many of these have no airstrip or ferry service. In partnership with Broad Reach Maritime we serve on sailing vessels that offer a unique and creative opportunity for church-planting and Bible training to these unreached & isolated coastal communities. Let’s go sailing with purpose!
Mediterranean Basin.
Our hearts’ focus, decades of experience, and continued draw in God’s work is toward the people, cultures, and lands that hug the Mediterranean Sea from southern Europe, to the Near East and North Africa. Most of these countries are part of the so-called the “10/40 Window” influenced by secularism, traditionalism, and Islam. So, we spend portions of each year training in this region. Transferable Training.
Modeled after 2 Timothy 2:2 and Paul’s letter to Titus, we do training events, workshops, (T4T - Training For Transformation) and retreats based in God’s word, using simple, easily transferable tools (Tools for Bible Navigation) in close fellowship with leaders and their churches. We do follow-up visits for gospel partnership, deepening relationships, leadership development, and training in life-long church wide family-nurturing, disciple-making, and mission. Our non-profit ministry is called Great Sea Commission. But we believe it takes strong gospel partnerships (Philippians 1:5) between a diversity of believers, churches, and organizations to plant, equip, and strengthen the Body of Christ throughout the world. Broad Reach Maritime.
Picking up where Paul left off, BRM is reaching people for Christ in the islands and ports of Greece. Greece’s 227 inhabited islands are home to an often overlooked people group. Many islands have only one believer; some have none. Reaching island inhabitants with the gospel presents a special challenge to traditional mission strategies. Unique opportunities arise for effective outreach using boats.
Horizons International.
Billions of people don’t know Jesus. We help to equip the global church to reach them, especially in the Muslim world. Well-known for his work supervising the translation and publication of the Bible into clear modern Arabic, HI founder, Georges Houssney, is passionate about reaching internationals in the USA and abroad with the great news of salvation.
Moving to the Right Ministries.
The mission of M2R is to elevate a generation of faithful, godly, develop-mentally minded leaders for the church, missions, and the workplace. M2R provides highly relational coaching, in both individual and cohort-based sessions, serving Christian leaders and aspiring leaders all over the world who desire to intentionally develop people and teams.
